Secret Neighbor is available for Windows 7 and up, and has a ported version for mobile devices. There is no randomization, resulting in quickly finding your way to the basement with increasing speed each time you play. However, social horror games are incredibly repetitive and Secret Neighbor is, as well. This makes the social horror atmosphere intense as the sounds around you and wacky graphics begin to doubt the other players and your own safety. The title feels creepy and worrisome due to its engaging environment. This makes the game ideal for playing with small groups of friends, but you can join online sessions and possibly make new friends or enemies.

There are five main players in a round and one Neighbor. While playing as this character, you can place bear traps, throw smoke bombs, access a hidden control room, and many more. The Neighbor has various tools at his disposal as he hunts down the other players. You can use your specific abilities such as speeding up your movement as the Brave or having extra storage as the Bagger. Mostly you'll spend your time as one of the five members of the group attempting to outsmart the impostor amongst you. Secret Neighbor is filled with many fun gameplay mechanics. It looks and performs badly and the whole thing is just really blurry.Secret Neighbor is a social horror game that supports up to six players in the Hello Neighbor universe. Coming to the Nintendo Switch has only echoed my previous experiences, Except it is not that great on the Switch from a performance and user experience point of view. The mode is always the same, team killing is very common, combat is sloppy and it all culminates into an experience I don’t want. Movement is horrible with it almost turning in broken increments rather than being smooth, you get no tutorial or any help at all so good luck new players. The connection to a game is fast but that’s the last good bit of news. It all sounds really good and could be a real winner, but then you play it. It’s a really good idea, it’s all set in the house, and locations of gear and keys will randomize every run, it’s dark and you need torches. One person will be the neighbor and try and find the kids before they find the keys to the basement.

Here it’s the Neighbour series going a darker route, the original Hello Neighbour game was a single-player stealth game with puzzle elements, whereas Secret Neighbour is multiplayer-only and going for a Dead By Deadlight approach. I always applaud devs who take a franchise and try it in another genre.

The game is basically a tamer version of Dead by Daylight.Three-way to play – quick game, custom, and Brawl.Shop selling premium and in-game goods.Customize your characters with cosmetics.Nine total characters – six kids and three neighbors.Cross-play support can be turned on or off.The only problem is one of the intruders is the Neighbor in disguise.
